This is not about mental illness or dis-ease, but rather a platform to build mental strength and resilience, To develop the ability to hold balance
"God grant to us the serenity of mind to accept that which cannot be changed
Courage to change that which can be changed
And wisdom to know the one from the other" ~ Reinhold Niebuhr

As you will see with practice, in the meditative domain, the best way to achieve your own goals is to back off from striving for results and instead to start focusing carefully on seeing and accepting things as they are, moment by moment. With patience and regular practice, movement toward your goals will take place by itself. This movement becomes an unfolding that you are inviting to happen within you. ~ Jon Kabat ~ Zinn
“He that can have patience can have what he will.” ~ Benjamin Franklin
"If you cannot trust yourself, you cannot even trust your mistrust of yourself - so that without this underlying trust in the whole system of nature you are simply paralyzed" ~ Alan Watts
I do not have a Mindfulness qualification, I have not trained to teach it, but I have been practicing Mindfulness with some degree of success since 2001, When I began my journey into recovery from the darkness of alcohol addiction. Mindfulness has been a fundamental tool in my personal development to which I can honestly say I owe my life. Mindfulness helped me to sit with the emotions that I could not bear without the numbing effects of alcohol. Mindfulness taught me to be still and to be patient. When I started to develop my “mindfulness muscle,” I found it became easier with practice to remain calm and centered when I experience a triggering moment.
It became much easier to press the ‘pause’ button which will make all the difference between making a hasty reaction you might later regret or a wise considered response
